Release Notes 01/10/2026

Updates:
Card Surcharge Changes (AU)
A number of changes were implemented to accommodate the card surcharge ban from 1st October, 2026, including:
  • Implemented the Australian card surcharge changes for the Stripe integration (AU). From 1 October 2026, card surcharges are no longer applied to Stripe payments for Australian workshops, and the surcharge fields have been removed from the Stripe settings screen. New Zealand workshops are unaffected.
  • Strengthened WorkshopPay payment handling (AU) in line with the Australian card surcharge changes, so online and terminal payments continue to be recorded reliably.
  • Made the card surcharge or fee account optional in the Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks Online integration settings, so invoices, payments and credits sync reliably whether or not an account is selected.

Accounting & Payments
Improvements to the reliability of accounting syncs and online payments, including:
  • Further added resilience to the MYOB sync for customer invoices and payments, where Workshop Software now automatically re-links a customer that has been recreated in MYOB and retries the sync.
  • Improved the "Pay Now" link on emailed invoices for workshops using Stripe, so customers can reliably open the payment page and pay online.

Integrations
Updates to several third-party integrations, including:
  • Updated the TireConnect integration (US) so the dealer cost quoted for a tyre is now brought onto the invoice and product, whether quoting from an invoice or a booking.
  • Prepared the TireConnect integration (US) for TireConnect's new widget, so tyre searches continue to open with the vehicle pre-loaded as accounts move across.
  • Improved Vehicle Visuals so every catalogue item can be attached to an invoice or inspection, whatever the length of its description.
  • Enhanced MOT history (UK) so refreshing a vehicle's MOT history also updates its MOT renewal date.

General Functionality
A range of improvements across invoicing, job cards, reporting and account billing, including:
  • Enhanced mechanic clock on/off on the Job Card so each action records a single clock-on entry, keeping mechanic status and labour hours accurate. A message is now shown if a clock action can't be completed.
  • Improved reliability when saving labour time while a mechanic timer is running.
  • Corrected a one-cent difference in the on-screen invoice total for certain freight amounts. On-screen totals and GST now always match the printed invoice.
  • Updated fully discounted invoices so they leave no balance outstanding, and Invoice Analysis and the Sales Report show the correct Gross Profit%.
  • Fixed an issue where some invoices or quotes could not be saved after lines were duplicated and removed.
  • Adjusted the Dealership Software Invoice Analysis so a sold unit's Cost Price includes all internal invoices raised against it, giving accurate gross profit on unit sales.
  • Updated the Transaction Centre so purchase orders are unlinked from a customer invoice when it is voided.
  • Improved Global Search so Serial Number results only show active invoices, and invoices created from a deleted booking now open as expected.
  • Corrected the Post Date column on the Payment Reconciliation report, which now shows the date the invoice was processed.
  • Updated online booking confirmations so the labour line quantity defaults to 1 when the labour product has no Default Labour Qty set, matching bookings created manually.
  • Further tidied up the Event Logs report for companies using Business Intelligence, removing technical entries written during setup.

Release Notes 25/09/2026

New Features:
  • Introduced 2-way SMS on the Mobile app, with push notifications when a new SMS is received. Each notification shows the customer's name (or mobile number) and the message, and keeps the app icon's unread badge up to date even when the app is closed.
  • As part of this new feature, a number of complementary updates were released at the same time, including:
    • Web users can now log into the Workshop Software Mobile app with their existing web login, and stay logged in on both the web and mobile app at the same time.
    • Added a new Mobile Access section to the user settings page, so mobile app features (Advanced User, Show Pricing, Process Invoices, Show Dealership Features, Show Mechanic Features, Limit Customer Information) and mobile notification settings can be managed for each web user.
    • Applied default mobile settings for users: Admin users have advanced mobile features (including pricing and invoice processing, plus dealership features where enabled) turned on automatically, while other user groups start with these off. Settings can be adjusted per user as needed.
    • Added "SMS Notifications" as an option under Admin notifications in the Mobile app, so users can choose whether to receive SMS push notifications.

Updates:
  • Enhanced the SMS unread message count so it stays in sync across the web and Mobile app, updating instantly as messages are read, customers are archived or removed, or the connection is restored.
  • Enhanced the SMS Logs report with a refreshed layout, date range support, a printed date, and member numbers for companies that use them.
  • Improved how SMS logs record the customer a message was sent to, so each message is concretely linked to the right customer.

Release Notes 11/09/2026

Updates:
  • Corrected the balance due shown on credit invoices so it always reflects what's actually available or owing, including right after processing a credit and after a partial credit application.
  • Improved the reliability of automatically creating stock orders in Purchasing.
  • Improved Business Intelligence dashboards so a user whose account setup hasn't finished sees a clear "setup in progress" message instead of a blank screen, with dashboards becoming available automatically once things are ready.

Release Notes 08/09/2026

Updates:
  • Improved invoice emails so photos and documents can now be attached at the same time as a payment request link, instead of having to choose one or the other.
  • Corrected an issue where confirming an online booking could change an existing customer's name or customer type. Confirming a booking now updates contact details only, leaving the customer's name and type untouched.
  • Improved the deposit workflow - you can now set or adjust the date a deposit was received, and adding or removing a deposit is once again reflected in the invoice's Activity Log.
  • Improved the Tire Connect integration (US) so a tyre's existing cost is no longer lost when it's added to an invoice or booking, keeping profit reporting accurate. A brand-new tyre the workshop hasn't stocked before will still need its cost set once, as always.

Release Notes 30/08/2026

Updates:

  • Resolved an issue where some messages identified as spam could still be delivered. Spam detection is now applied consistently across the system, with a safety net in place so a message blocked in error can still be released.
  • Improved the messaging onscreen to inform users where an account has reached the daily limit for emailing non customer/supplier/staff emails. Replacing a generic user message which wasn't clear on why the email was failed to be sent.
  • Updated the MYOB integration ahead of MYOB retiring its current permission model on 1 September 2026. Workshops connected to MYOB were contacted explaining that their Administrator needs to reapprove access (simple one minute step) before the deadline, with nothing lost in the meantime.
  • Further added resilience to the sync of Workshop Software and MYOB where Workshop Software now automatically recreates the supplier in MYOB and retries the sync, instead of failing.
  • Applied a fix to customer payments applied to a manually reconciled invoice which weren't syncing to MYOB. These payments are now correctly recognised as not needing to sync to MYOB.
  • Updated the Tire Connect integration (US) where, after selecting tyres and viewing the out-the-door price, the option to bring them back onto the invoice intermittently failed. A clear message is now shown if the tyre selection genuinely can't be retrieved further improving the user messaging and user experience.

Release Notes 25/08/2026

Updates:
  • Upgraded the Customer List page to modern underlying technology and resolved an issue with mobile number or phone number sorting.
  • Upgraded the Vehicle List page to modern underlying technology and resolved an issue with Make, Model, or Customer Name sorting.
  • Corrected an issue where a credit invoice's balance could display incorrectly. Credit invoices now show "Available Credit" in place of "Balance Due", with the available credit value updating automatically as a credit is applied.
  • Resolved an issue where outbound emails could fail to send for accounts without a reply-to email address configured. These now send successfully using a Workshop Software default address instead.
  • Adjusted mechanic availability checks so that any job overlapping a mechanic's unavailable time (such as a lunch break) is now blocked consistently. Previously, a job that fully spanned a break could be booked while a shorter job that only clipped the edge of the same break was blocked; both cases are now treated the same way.
  • Resolved an issue on multi-branch sites where newly linking a product to another branch copied the originating branch's stock quantity onto the new branch record. Newly linked branch products now correctly start with zero stock, so each branch tracks its own quantity on hand.
  • Resolved an issue where the VV Garage online booking calendar showed no available dates for a branch that shares its VV Garage API key with another branch. The correct branch is now identified automatically, and a clear error is shown if a booking genuinely can't be processed.
  • We've also improved bundle products in the way that they save. Bundle saves are now all-or-nothing, so a bundle's price can no longer end up out of step with its contents.

Release Notes 07/08/2026

Updates:
  • Resolved an issue where the Booking Diary could show an inflated "Scheduled Hours" total on days where mechanics finish earlier than usual (such as Fridays), caused by an error trimming mechanics' time-off hours to fit within a shorter schedule. Scheduled and Available Hours now always reflect mechanics' actual rostered time.
  • Improved account security by ensuring Public Booking API credentials are automatically cleared if a subscription is downgraded below Platinum, alongside the existing Workshop API credential clearing.
  • Improved the responsiveness of the Event Times input when adjusting a booking's scheduled times.
  • Resolved an issue where public booking requests, which were submitted via the public booking diary, the customer portal, or the public booking API, ran into clashes where multiple customers shared the same name, phone number, or email. Workshop users reviewing a booking request now see every plausible matching customer, with a clear badge showing whether the match is confirmed, ambiguous, or brand new, and choose the correct customer (or create a new one) before approving.
    • Added a "Duplicate Rego" warning on booking requests when the submitted plate matches more than one vehicle, listing every vehicle owner so the correct customer can be selected.
    • Added a name-mismatch warning on booking requests that auto-attach to a customer whose name doesn't match the details submitted, so it can be reviewed before approval.
  • Resolved an issue where submitting the same booking twice in quick succession via the public booking diary could create two duplicate booking requests. Resubmitting an identical request within 24 hours now shows a message confirming the original request was kept, rather than creating a duplicate.

Release Notes 31/07/2026

Updates:
  • Resolved an issue where vehicle registration lookups — DVLA in the UK, Checka in New Zealand, and standard registration lookups in Australia — showed a generic "Unknown error" or got stuck loading indefinitely when a workshop had run out of lookup credits. Whether starting the lookup from a Vehicle, Booking, Invoice, tyre/wheel/brake lookup, or MOT history, users now see a clear message and are taken straight to the purchase screen to buy more lookups.
  • Corrected an issue where saving a Vehicle Acquisition with an invalid field value returned an unclear error. Character limits are now enforced as you type across Acquisition and Dealership Template fields — including Make, Model, Model Code, Model Series, Colour, Engine Type, VIN and Plate Number — so problems are caught before you try to save.
  • Improved vehicle records by increasing the maximum length of the Engine Number field from 20 to 30 characters, so longer engine numbers can now be entered and saved without triggering a validation error.
  • Adjusted the Marine vehicle group so Hull and Hull Material no longer incorrectly display as required fields.

Release Notes 25/07/2026

Updates:
  • Enhanced purchase order handling so orders that are only partially received now correctly show as "Partially Received" in the order list, and partially received orders can be selected when creating a supplier invoice from that order.
  • Improved the invoice splitting process for bundles — a bundle can no longer be split apart and instead moves as a whole to the new invoice via a simple on/off toggle, individual items still support fractional splitting up to their available quantity, and bundles are now colour-coded in the split window to match the main invoice screen.
  • Implemented the ability to deactivate your WorkshopWeb website directly from the CRM page, taking it offline while preserving its content so it can be reactivated later without losing any work.
  • Implemented selectable states for Singapore, adding the five Singapore districts with proper display labels to address fields.
  • Enhanced account security by ensuring session cookies are set with secure and HTTP-only attributes.
  • Resolved an issue where splitting an invoice, or other simultaneous actions, could occasionally generate duplicate job card, invoice, or receipt numbers. Number allocation is now guaranteed unique. Also corrected a related error loading the booking diary for workshops with no mechanics assigned.
  • Resolved an issue where an invoice containing a product that had since been made inactive could not be edited or saved. Products already in use on an open invoice, quote, or booking can no longer be deactivated, with a clear message showing which product and how many open invoices are affected.
  • Corrected an issue where deleting an invoice linked to a loan car booking left the booking stuck and unable to be modified or returned. The booking is now correctly unlinked and behaves as a normal booking, and a misleading "loan will also be deleted" popup has been removed.
  • Resolved an issue where the Customer Profile screen would fail to load for workshops using Price Matrices if one of the matrices had no name set.
  • Fixed an issue where processing a dealership stock order could fail with an "Unknown Error" if a linked acquisition vehicle had been left orphaned by a deleted purchase order line.
  • Resolved an issue where a supplier invoice could be processed without a Post Date, causing errors later when opening or editing it. Processing a supplier invoice without a Post Date now automatically fills it in with the current business date.
  • Fixed an issue where voiding a customer invoice failed with an "Unknown error" if the supplier stock order it was linked to had already been voided.
  • Resolved an issue where saving or processing a supplier invoice with an inactive product line failed with no error shown. A clear message now names the specific product.
  • Corrected an issue where resetting a staff user's password failed silently if the user had no email address on file. Admins now see a clear prompt to add an email address first.
  • Resolved an issue where a supplier invoice or payment could not be processed if the purchase order it was originally linked to had since been voided or deleted.
  • Adjusted the requested bookings list on the Dashboard so that clicking a column header now sorts the list correctly, resolving an issue where sorting previously did nothing.

Release Notes 23/07/2026

New Feature:
This new feature release included the following:
  • Improved the ability to take customer deposits and prepayments directly on open invoices and quotes using any configured payment method, with the balance due updating automatically and multiple deposits supported per invoice.
  • Enhanced deposit and prepayment activity so it now syncs automatically to your connected accounting package — Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks Online — whenever a deposit is taken or refunded.
  • Updated quote-to-job-card conversions so deposits taken on a quote now carry across automatically, whether through a booking or a direct conversion, keeping accounting sync intact. Deposits also return to the original quote if a booking is deleted, and job cards with active deposits can no longer be deleted until those deposits are refunded or removed.
  • Adjusted the Payment Reconciliation report (previously "Sales by Payment Methods") so terminal deposit revenue now groups under the payment method you actually selected, such as Credit Card, instead of a generic terminal label, making reconciliation against your configured payment methods more accurate.
  • Improved MYOB, QBO, and Xero settings pages and added a new Xero cleanup report to support the deposit and prepayment workflow.
  • Resolved an issue where retrying a declined or timed-out terminal deposit could create duplicate pending deposits and duplicate invoice line items. Retrying now safely reuses the original pending deposit.
  • Improved safeguards so that deposit records created before this update continue to be handled exactly as before, and connected accounting packages keep syncing invoices and payments normally even before the new deposit settings are configured.

Release Notes 17/07/2026

New Feature:
  • Mobile Team Notifications. Implemented mobile push notifications, giving users real-time alerts on their phone for events like payments received, new booking requests, and newly assigned jobs. Additionally as part of this notification feature, some broader updates were introduced to support the overall usability, including.
    • Added a new notification settings screen in the mobile app, letting users choose which notification types (Admin or Mechanic) they want to receive.
    • Added critical notifications, allowing administrators to broadcast important company-wide alerts to all mobile app users, with an email verification step to help prevent accidental broadcasts.
    • Adjusted critical notifications so they're now always enabled for every user and can no longer be turned off, ensuring company-wide alerts are never missed.
    • Enhanced push notifications so tapping one now takes users straight to the relevant screen in the app, such as the specific job, booking, or invoice it relates to.
    • Improved assigned booking notifications so users are no longer notified when assigning work to themselves, and each notification now includes the job details so multiple assignments are easy to tell apart.

Updates:
  • Updated and resolved a number of mobile notification issues, including settings screen failures, permissions errors, incorrect booking and job-assignment notifications, and missed critical alerts for some companies.

Release Notes 16/07/2026

New Features:
  • The Workshop API was released today providing the ability for in-house developers or 3rd parties to leverage data available inside of Workshop Software to utilise for bespoke needs. In addition to the API being made available, some general updates to the API credentials and user interface are as follows;
    • Improved CRM Tools by introducing a new combined API settings page, giving users a single place to manage both the Workshop API and Public Booking API.
    • Improved security of the Workshop API by restricting direct access to Platinum subscribers only, while Gold subscribers continue to access data via Podium as before.
    • Improved account security by ensuring Workshop API and Public Booking API access is automatically revoked if a subscription is downgraded below Platinum.
    • Improved the reliability of Workshop API credential generation, ensuring newly created API credentials work correctly the first time they're used.
  • Workshop Software users now have the option to use Google Single Sign On (SSO) when accessing their Workshop Software account, including a one-tap sign-in option for returning users. In addition to this being introduced as a new login options, a general update to the settings and user interface to support the change are as follows;
    • Improved user settings by allowing users to link or unlink their Google account at any time from their profile settings.

Updates:
  • Resolved an issue where NZ vehicle registration lookups intermittently failed due to inconsistent configuration between environments. Registration lookups will now behave consistently across all environments.
  • Resolved an issue where Gold subscribers were incorrectly blocked from activating Podium, receiving a message stating a Platinum subscription was required. Gold subscribers can now activate Podium as expected.
  • Improved the underlying technology behind the Admin Dashboard Countries/States screen to support future enhancements, with no change to how the screen is used.

Release Notes 12/07/2026

Updates
  • Implemented a duplicate-customer name check on the new invoice and booking screens, matching the protection already available elsewhere. Users creating a customer from these screens are now warned if a customer with the same name already exists, helping prevent duplicate customer records.
  • Resolved an issue where a newly created Product Group would temporarily disappear from the list after saving, only reappearing once the page was refreshed. New groups now stay visible immediately after being saved.
  • Fixed the notification icon in the Transaction Centre so quotes that have been emailed or texted to a customer now correctly show as contacted, rather than appearing as if no contact was made.
  • Resolved an issue where some products could not be deleted because of underlying bundle association errors. Products with bundle associations can now be deleted without encountering these issues.
  • Resolved an issue where credit notes could sync to Xero twice, creating duplicate entries in the customer's Xero account. Credit notes now sync reliably as a single record, even during periods of high Xero sync activity.
  • Fixed an issue where Dealership Software vehicles acquired through a supplier invoice could be silently left in a 'pending' state instead of moving to 'for sale', with no indication that anything had gone wrong. Acquisition processing now clearly alerts the user if it's unable to complete, so vehicles are never left in limbo.
  • Updated the Burson EzyParts integration so routine order submissions now run Burson's built-in stock and pricing discrepancy check by default, matching Bapcor's official specification. The check is only skipped when a user explicitly chooses to force a resubmission after resolving flagged order lines.
  • Added a new "Use Burson labour cost rates" toggle to Burson settings. By default, labour items imported from EzyParts quotes now use the workshop's own configured labour rate rather than Bapcor's recommended pricing; workshops that prefer Bapcor's rates can switch the toggle on to keep the previous behaviour.
  • Resolved an issue where the online Public Booking page could offer appointment days as available even when every rostered mechanic had marked that day unavailable. Availability shown to customers online now accounts for mechanic-specific time off, not just company-wide holidays.
  • Corrected an issue that allowed a Workshop Web site to be provisioned for a company with no contact email address on file. Activating Workshop Web now requires a valid email address on the Company Profile, with a clear message if one is missing.
  • Fixed an issue where returning a loan car booking longer than 30 days would fail silently, with no error shown and the Return screen appearing unresponsive. The maximum loan booking period has been extended to 90 days, the booking-length check now correctly reflects any shortened dates entered before pressing Return, and any error is now clearly shown on screen so users can correct and resubmit without reloading the page.
  • Resolved an issue where supplier invoices could be re-synced to Xero as duplicate bills, for example after an accounting change updated a product's category. Supplier invoices now update the existing Xero bill on re-sync instead of creating a second copy.
  • Fixed an issue where sending a Quote, Invoice, or Credit by SMS from the print menu would silently fail if the document had unsaved changes. Users are now prompted to save the document first, matching the existing behaviour when sending by email.
  • Resolved an issue preventing workshops in countries with no state or province field from activating Workshop Web. These workshops can now complete activation and have their website created successfully, while workshops in countries with states continue to be required to provide one.
  • Fixed an issue where the Stocktake report returned no items when the selected product Group name contained a forward slash (e.g. "Tennant/Genie Parts"). Stocktake filtering and the printed/exported report now correctly include items from groups with special characters in their name.
  • Corrected an issue on the Create Stock Order From Invoice screen where selecting a supplier through the "Search By Supplier" field could silently fail to create the order, with no error shown. The screen now clearly flags any line missing a valid supplier and blocks submission until it's corrected, so stock orders are never lost without warning.
  • Resolved an issue where a product's Reserved Quantity could drift out of sync with its actual open invoices, and in some cases get permanently baked into Quantity on Hand during a stock take. Reserved quantities now self-correct as invoices change, and the Stock Take screen correctly loads company settings so the "Count Excludes Reserved" option is available wherever it should be.
  • Fixed an issue where saving an inspection could duplicate its line items if they were resubmitted without their original reference IDs. Inspections now update existing lines correctly instead of creating duplicates.
  • Resolved an intermittent issue where the global search box could show results from a previous search mixed in with, or instead of, the current search term. Searching now reliably returns results for exactly what was typed, on the first attempt.
  • Improved the performance and reliability of global search by adding database indexes and a query timeout, so searches return faster and no longer risk overloading the database during peak usage.
  • Fixed a regression where Vehicle Visuals animations failed to load from the Inspection screen. Visuals now load and play correctly from Inspections, while the recent popup viewing experience on invoices continues to work as intended.
  • Corrected an issue where the Vehicle Details section could be missing entirely from a printed Inspection PDF when the vehicle's Model name was long. The Model now prints on its own line, and Vehicle Details will no longer be omitted from the PDF regardless of name length.

Release Notes 30/06/2026

Updates:
  • Resolved a discrepancy where credit note freight was being inflated when synced to Xero for workshops using GST-inclusive pricing. Freight amounts on credit notes will now sync correctly to Xero, matching what was entered in Workshop Software.
  • Applied a path on Two-Way SMS where incoming messages from certain phone number formats were displaying as "Unknown Number" rather than being matched to the correct customer. Inbound messages will now correctly identify customers regardless of how their phone number was stored.
  • Corrected an issue where the Job Card number was disappearing from stock orders after being placed through the NAPA ProLink integration. Job Card numbers will now remain correctly attached to orders throughout the ordering process.
  • Updated the Xero integration so that multi-branch workshops are correctly connected to their intended Xero organisation during authorisation. Previously, selecting a Xero organisation could result in the accounts from a different organisation being displayed.
  • Fixed an issue where newly created UK trial accounts were reverting to a US/Canada timezone after completing the initial setup. Time zone settings selected during account setup will now be retained correctly.
  • Improved the province/state dropdown for South African accounts to remove duplicate entries. Each of the nine South African provinces now appears only once, and any existing records have been automatically updated to use the correct codes.
  • Enhanced the Vehicle Visuals experience so that animations now open in a popup within Workshop Software rather than launching a new browser tab. This applies across the Catalogue, Search, and invoice attachments.
  • Implemented an underlying technical upgrade to the Product List page to improve performance and consistency across the application.

Release Notes 14/06/2026

  • Implemented fault code lookups and diagnostics connector data in WorkshopData to help identify and diagnose vehicle issues more efficiently.
  • Added fuses & relays/locations data and VESA/comfort wiring information to WorkshopData.
  • Improved WorkshopData to include VESA Repair Manuals and related parts via generic article lookups, making it easier to find the right repair procedures and associated components.

  • Corrected an issue causing the on-hand quantity for serialised products to become out of sync in certain scenarios.
  • Adjusted the Customer Portal session timeout behaviour so users are now redirected to the Customer Portal login page instead of the Workshop login page.
  • Fixed an issue where inspection item status flags were not being properly cleared when changing an item's status from red or yellow to green.

Release Notes 22/05/2026

New Features:
  • Improved the WorkshopData diagnostic tool with a new global access button in the top header bar, available from any page in the application. The button opens the tool for the current vehicle in view, or launches a make and model search if no vehicle is in context. Users without WorkshopData activated will see a prompt with the option to navigate to the activation page.

Updates:
  • Resolved an issue where the Stocktake report returned "No Results" when filtering by Location whose name contained a forward slash (e.g. 01AA02/01). Locations with special characters will now return the correct results.
  • Resolved an issue where an email could be submitted with an empty Subject field, causing an error. The send button is now disabled until both the Subject and Email Address fields are filled in, preventing failed sends across all email entry points in the application.
  • Improved the error message displayed when a WorkshopPay terminal transaction is cancelled or fails. Users will now see a clear, readable reason (e.g. "Transaction failed: Declined") instead of raw template text.
  • Resolved an issue where the SMS character counter in the Quote Follow-Up Message reminder settings was not updating as users typed. The counter now tracks characters in real time and correctly prevents input beyond the 160-character limit.
  • Resolved a display issue on the Price Matrix settings screen where the Matrix dropdown was too narrow, cutting off longer option names when expanded. The dropdown now displays all options in full.
  • Resolved an issue where UK trial accounts were reverting to a US/Canada time zone after completing the welcome setup flow. The selected time zone and mechanic working hours are now saved and retained correctly.
  • Improved the Price Matrix settings screen as part of an ongoing platform upgrade, delivering a more reliable and consistent experience when managing matrices, product groups, and pricing percentages.

Release Notes 15/05/2026

Updates:
  • Restricted new WorkshopData (HaynesPro) subscriptions to paid Workshop Software customers only. Accounts on a Workshop Software trial can no longer take out a WorkshopData subscription until they convert to a fully paid subscription. Existing trial accounts that already have a WorkshopData subscription are not affected and will continue as normal.
  • Improved the vvGarage module as part of an ongoing platform upgrade, delivering a more stable and consistent experience for users of this integration.

Release Notes 09/05/2026

Updates:
  • Resolved an issue where the customer account balance displayed on the Customer Details page could show an incorrect (higher) amount after a payment was processed. Customer balances will now always reflect the true outstanding amount based on current invoice data, including after payments are voided or partially applied.
  • Resolved an issue where using the copy-to-clipboard button to copy API Keys, API Secrets, and Company IDs in the Bookings API and WS-API settings pages would include unwanted leading or trailing whitespace in the copied value. Copying these values will now paste cleanly without extra spaces, preventing authentication failures when using them in external tools.
  • Resolved an issue where customers with associated invoices, bookings, payments, or inspections could not be unarchived. The system was incorrectly applying archive restrictions in both directions. Customers with these associations can now be unarchived successfully, while the restrictions preventing archiving of customers with open records remain in place.
  • Improved the Subscription Activation modal to remove no longer offered packages and display only relevant extras depending on country.

Release Notes 01/05/2025

Updates:
  • Fixed an issue where products flagged as requiring a serial number were not having that requirement carried over when items were added to a Supplier Invoice from a Stock Order. Serial number validation will now be correctly enforced through this flow.
  • Corrected an issue where payments processed through the WorkshopPay flow could become stuck following a terminal disconnect. Users can now recover and manually complete these payments without error.
  • Improved the way two-factor authentication (2FA) is being enforced for new users added to a company that had 2FA enforcement enabled. New users will now have 2FA automatically activated upon account creation in line with the company's security settings.
  • Fixed an issue where converting a Quote to a Booking was not correctly accounting for the freight amount when calculating the total, causing the booking total to appear lower than expected. Freight is now included correctly in the conversion total.

Release Notes 24/04/2026

Updates:
  • Improved the way the system recognises verified email domains and ensures emails are being correctly be sent from a company's own email address where applicable, or from the default email address where not.

  • Improved the WorkshopAssist guidance and notification system to allow better messaging to users based on which integrations they have enabled or disabled including impacts on system usage.
