Release Notes 23/07/2026
New Feature:
- Implemented deposit collection through the WorkshopPay EFT terminal, with surcharges calculated automatically and refunds (including surcharge reversal) fully supported.
This new feature release included the following:
- Improved the ability to take customer deposits and prepayments directly on open invoices and quotes using any configured payment method, with the balance due updating automatically and multiple deposits supported per invoice.
- Enhanced deposit and prepayment activity so it now syncs automatically to your connected accounting package — Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks Online — whenever a deposit is taken or refunded.
- Updated quote-to-job-card conversions so deposits taken on a quote now carry across automatically, whether through a booking or a direct conversion, keeping accounting sync intact. Deposits also return to the original quote if a booking is deleted, and job cards with active deposits can no longer be deleted until those deposits are refunded or removed.
- Adjusted the Payment Reconciliation report (previously "Sales by Payment Methods") so terminal deposit revenue now groups under the payment method you actually selected, such as Credit Card, instead of a generic terminal label, making reconciliation against your configured payment methods more accurate.
- Improved MYOB, QBO, and Xero settings pages and added a new Xero cleanup report to support the deposit and prepayment workflow.
- Resolved an issue where retrying a declined or timed-out terminal deposit could create duplicate pending deposits and duplicate invoice line items. Retrying now safely reuses the original pending deposit.
- Improved safeguards so that deposit records created before this update continue to be handled exactly as before, and connected accounting packages keep syncing invoices and payments normally even before the new deposit settings are configured.
