Updates:
- Resolved an issue where vehicle registration lookups — DVLA in the UK, Checka in New Zealand, and standard registration lookups in Australia — showed a generic "Unknown error" or got stuck loading indefinitely when a workshop had run out of lookup credits. Whether starting the lookup from a Vehicle, Booking, Invoice, tyre/wheel/brake lookup, or MOT history, users now see a clear message and are taken straight to the purchase screen to buy more lookups.
- Corrected an issue where saving a Vehicle Acquisition with an invalid field value returned an unclear error. Character limits are now enforced as you type across Acquisition and Dealership Template fields — including Make, Model, Model Code, Model Series, Colour, Engine Type, VIN and Plate Number — so problems are caught before you try to save.
- Improved vehicle records by increasing the maximum length of the Engine Number field from 20 to 30 characters, so longer engine numbers can now be entered and saved without triggering a validation error.
- Adjusted the Marine vehicle group so Hull and Hull Material no longer incorrectly display as required fields.
