Release Notes 28/05/2025

Mobile update 7.2.0 has been released for both iOS and Android. Here are the changes included:

New features:
  • Customer order numbers are now visible when looking at an invoice.
  • Create new products when adding items to a job card.
  • Access and use your email templates when contacting your customer through the mobile app.
  • Copy the contents of a field by tapping it and then pressing the clipboard icon that is revealed.
  • Vehicle hours is now an editable field.
  • Add/delete bundles on bookings.
  • View/Edit invoice item notes.
  • Email WorkshopPay payment requests (where WPAY is supported).
  • VIN barcode scanner added to the VIN field of a vehicle.
  • Carfax lookup available in the mobile app (US only).
  • Quick navigation to the clock-in/labour notes from the job card screen.
  • Implemented a changelog message that will display when the app is opened after an update.
Updates:
  • Fixed an issue that logs users out (seemingly) randomly.
  • Variable field labels (eg. car/boat/motorbike & technician/mechanic) set in the web app will now reflect in the mobile app.
  • Fixed a bug where you could not add attachments to an inspection right after creating it.
  • Fixed Booking Diary event ordering issues for better display of information.

Web app changes:

New Features:
  • Public Booking API access now available, more information coming soon! If you are interested in utilising this feature now, please contact 'support@workshopsoftware.com' and request access.  
Updates:
  • General maintenance and security.
  • Removed the labour product limitation on Appointment Types. Appointment Types can now have a bundle assigned to it when using the Public Booking tool. Please be aware that a booking and therefore a booking request requires a labour product, meaning only bundles with a labour product will show as a possible option when setting up your Appointment Types.
